Preparing and loading your content

In this article we'll cover how to prepare and load your own content to Look & Play.

To preload your content you will need: your headset of choice, a computer and a cable to connect the device to the computer.

Name your content

On the computer, create a folder titled VREvent. This is the root folder in which all content will be placed. You can create additional folders inside that will show up as a subfolder in the application. Note that only a maximum of 24 files per folder will be shown inside Look & Play. To view content as stereoscopic or 2D you have to rename the file with the correct suffix. Use the table below:

Custom icons

Each video, image and folder are represented by a default icon inside Look & Play. You can add a custom icon for each file and folder to be shown instead. To use a custom icon give the image the same name as the content file and add the _icon suffix.

Custom branding

You can add a custom logo for branding that’s shown in the waiting room in each separate folder. Add an image titled logo.png to the folder. In addition, each folder can have a custom 360° background, monoscopic or stereoscopic. Add an image titled background.png to the relevant folder. And add the _TB or _LR suffix for stereo.

Spatial audio

A video can use spatial audio by adding an external tbe audio file, with the same name as the video, to the folder

Loading the content

Connect the headset to the computer with the proper cable and accept the connection for file transferring. Open the Internal Shared Storage (the root) of the headset on the computer and copy or create the VREvent folder to the storage.
